Go Green Agriculture: Integrating technology with agriculture to find better and healthier ways to grow food.
Don't miss Grads and Grub, the social mixer series for graduate program alumni, graduate students, post-docs and faculty. Connect with alumni, students, faculty, and campus partners, over a beer and appetizers. Join us for this series of social mixers, which are usually held on the third Friday of every month from 5-7 p.m. Our first three mixers were a great success. We hope you will attend this fourth mixer in the series, hosted by UC San Diego Rady School of Management on Friday, April 18.
Pierre Sleiman, Rady MBA 2013, founder and CEO of Go Green Agriculture, will present his state-of-the-art hydroponic greenhouse farming system. Sleiman started Go Green Agriculture to significantly contribute to the agriculture industry by creating solutions for water shortages, increasing fuel costs and diminishing farmland. Three years after it was founded, Go Green Agriculture has over 400 customers including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Jimbo's Naturally and Hyatt Hotels. Sleiman’s vision is to have "mini-farms" in every urban area of the U.S., supplying local and organic food, eliminating the need for major trucking, creating local jobs and improving food quality.
Graduate Students: Your R.S.V.P. is greatly appreciated to help us ensure an adequate supply of food and beverages. Thank you.
