At the Founders’ Celebration, November 14-16, we recognize all Tritons—those on campus, in the local community and around the world; undergraduate and graduate students; physicians, staff and faculty; alumni and friends—and our collective achievements. Thursday, November 14

Founders' Symposium
4-7 p.m., The Loft & Price Center East Ballroom
How does UC San Diego research translate into real-world benefits? This annual event offers short, interactive presentations by innovative faculty members and graduate students who are taking creative approaches to solve some of society’s most pressing challenges. Founders' Day Festival
11 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Town Square, UCSD
See Town Square transformed into a 1960s beach boardwalk featuring tasty treats, entertainment and activities from academic departments across campus showcasing our accomplishments, discoveries and innovations over the past five decades. This event is open to the public.

Faculty Club's 25th Anniversary Celebration
7-10 p.m., Faculty Club, UCSD
Join the Faculty Club Board of Directors for an evening celebrating a milestone of 25 years for UC San Diego’s Faculty Club. Enjoy a signature anniversary three-course menu created by Chef Ed, champagne and specialty drinks by Snake Oil cocktails, and dancing to Sue Palmer’s Swing Orchestra. Roger Revelle Medal
The Founders’ Celebration culminates Saturday evening, recognizing the 2013 Chancellor’s Medal recipients Conrad Prebys and Arthur and Molli Wagner and the Revelle Medal recipient, Walter Munk, ‘47. The Roger Revelle Medal recognizes current and former faculty members for their sustained, distinguished and extraordinary service to the campus. The award is named in honor UC San Diego “father,” Roger Revelle.

Fifth College/ERC First Class Dinner
6:30 p.m., Great Hall
Reminisce and reconnect with founding faculty, staff and fellow alumni of Fifth College’s first class. In recognition of Fifth College’s 25th anniversary milestone, a portion of the ticket price ($25) will benefit scholarships for students who wish to imagine more by studying abroad.
