More Perfect Union Scholarship

At a time when scholarship support is more vital than ever, you have the opportunity to help transform the lives of promising students through the Washington D.C. Alumni Chapter’s More Perfect Union Scholarship.
Sam Kernell, distinguished professor of political science, was instrumental in creating UCDC and has been the director on UC San Diego’s campus since 1998. This year, Professor Kernell pledges to match every dollar donated to the scholarship fund, up to $5,000. Help us match his $5,000!

Under the Alumni Leadership Scholarship Program, the Washington D.C. Alumni Chapter’s More Perfect Union Scholarship provides funds for high-achieving UCSD students faced with significant financial hardship who participate in the UCDC Program or the Academic Internship Program (AIP) with an internship located in Washington D.C. Preference will be given to students demonstrating distinctive and outstanding service, outreach, research or creative work that advances a diverse, inclusive, collaborative and respectful campus community.

You can make a difference in the lives of current students. Make a donation today to the Washington D.C. Alumni Chapter’s More Perfect Union Scholarship.
