UCSD Alumni's email forwarding service is provided free of charge to alumni of UC San Diego. Once you activate your alumni email
forwarding address, all messages sent to your alumni email forwarding
address will be re-directed to the email address of your choice. You
will also have the option to send emails from this address through your

I am sending an email to forwarding address using the email address it is linked to, but am not receiving it.
Who is eligible for an alumni email forwarding address?
UC San Diego graduates who have received a Bachelors, Masters, and/or a Doctor of Philosophy degrees are eligible.
How do I enroll in the alumni email forwarding and when will it be active?
Log in or register for Triton Online. Then go to your Triton
Online account page. Click on “Alumni Email Forwarding” on the navigation panel
to the left. Fill out the form and submit. It will take three to five
business days to process and take effect.
How long will it take for changes to an existing address to be made?
Similar to activating your email forwarding service, it will take three to five
business days to process and take effect. Please plan ahead to avoid any
gaps in your service.
Is this an email account?
No, this is an email forwarding address which is linked to an existing email account. Once you activate your alumni email
forwarding address, all messages sent to your alumni e-mail forwarding
address will be re-directed to the email address of your choice.
Will I be able to send email from this address?
After you set up a forwarding email address, you will have the
option to send emails through both the alumni email address or your
existing email service provider(ESP). Many email service providers
allow you to set the default “Reply” address of your choice. Please
check with your ESP for details.
You will not be able to send yourself emails using your connected email account to your forwarding account. For example, if your forwarding address is linked to "email@example.com", you will not be able to send an email to your "firstname.lastname@example.org" address using "email@example.com". You will not receive this message into your inbox.
Is there a cost to activate an alumni email forwarding address?
Alumni email forwarding service is provided free of charge to
all eligible graduates of UC San Diego.
Can I choose my own alumni email address?
When registering for Triton Online, you will create a username. Your
alumni email forwarding address will be based on your Triton Online username. (I.E. firstname.lastname@example.org)
You will be notified if your username cannot be used to create your alumni email address within three to five business days.
Can I change my username or my alumni email address?
Your Triton Online username is permanent and cannot be updated
once you have register it. Your alumni email address is also permanent,
but you can update the email address it is linked to.
Will my email forwarding address allow me to forward emails to multiple accounts?
No, your email forwarding address will only allow you to select one email address for all your forwarded email.
