
Senior Celebration Aims to Unify Colleges
Oct. 4, 2007— In an attempt to attract more prominent speakers for undergraduate graduation ceremonies, the A.S. Council recently announced the reintroduction of a campus-wide baccalaureate—known as the Senior Celebration.
UC Settles Dispute with T.A. Union
Oct. 8, 2007— A heated six-month discourse ended last week between the University of California and a labor union representing academic student employees, which agreed to a two-year labor contract that would provide workers with improved wages, health care and benefits, and put an end to threats of a strike.
A New Face for Sun God?
Oct. 18, 2007— This year’s Sun God festival could be subject to a significant logistical overhaul— including potential changes to the event’s date, location, concert access and alcohol sales policy—if recommendations made in a recent planning report are approved by the A.S. Programming and University Events offices.
An Alternative to Parking on Campus
Nov. 19, 2007— To increase greener transportation options, UCSD Transportation and Parking Services plans to integrate a hybrid fleet into the campus’ diesel-powered shuttle system.
From the Ground Up
Oct. 29, 2007— Student Center has been consumed with construction over the last three years, and many of the site’s organizations have suffered as a result. But at least one is ready to make a solid comeback: KSDT, UCSD’s student-run Internet-broadcast radio station.
