Pilipino/a/x Alumni Council
We value the cultural diversity of UC San Diego because it enriches our lives and the university. In an effort to bridge to communities of students and alumni, and increase visibility and communication, the Pilipino/a/x Alumni Council (PAC) was formed to positively affect the communities we serve.
Why use Pilipino/a/x and not Pilipin@ or Pilipina or Pilipino? The use of an “x” is intended to be inclusive while the three latter terms/identities exclude those who don’t identify within the gender binary.
Mission
The mission of the Pilipino/a/x Alumni Council is to promote the academic, personal and professional success of current and former Pilipino/a/x students at UC San Diego through a community of support. We are committed to the advancement of Pilipino/a/x students at UC San Diego and the university’s recruitment, retention and matriculation efforts through the giving of our time, talents, and resources. PAC hosts professional development and networking opportunities, social gatherings, and a mentorship program for current students.
